Battlefields Across the Country and Here at Home

The federal government blew $60million dollars on equipment they didn’t need.  Fort Pierce “got pushed through” quickly because of the violence here.  The militarization of the police force in Fort Pierce and other towns across the country is turning communities into battlefields

Through a 1033 program, the US military is selling cheaply or giving away for free MRAP vehicles to small, local police stations across the country. MRAP, which stands for Mine-Resistance Ambush Protected, are heavy-duty war machines, which might seem excessive for small-town police stations.
