As more libertarian and conservatives continue to gain influence in the Republican Party, we continue to see the divide in the GOP.

On one side, you have the old, stale, moss covered Republicans such as Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham, Reps Mike Rogers,  Eric Cantor, and Speaker Boehner.  They vote for big government policies with little care of the rule of law.  Occasionally, they will vote for small(er) government policies to keep their base happy.  But, they all have one thing in common, big government over seas.   They loathe for opportunities to involve the US government in internal affairs of other nations.  What they fail to recognize, (or more appropriately) they do not care that we cannot have big government abroad without having it at home.  Their foreign policy views would make any Woodrow Wilson-FDR war mongering Democrat ecstatic.

One may wonder, why are they in the Republican Party?  They had to hide under the cloak of Neo-Conservatism.

On the other side of the same isle, you have  small government, free market, and personal freedom advocating libertarian-conservatives who adhere to the Constitution.    This group is represented in Congress by Sens. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Reps. Justin Amash, Thomas Massie, Paul Broun, Walter Jones, Steve Stockman, and Ted Yoho in the House of Representatives.

Recently, Amnesia John McCain was asked who he would support if the 2016 Presidential race was between Hillary Clinton and Rand Paul.  McCain’s answer: ““It’s gonna be a tough choice.”

Tough choice, really John?

Sen. Paul’s:  unwillingness to raid from the public treasury to send American dollars to violent dictators in country’s that do not care for America, unwillingness to carelessly lead America to another war, stance in defense of personal freedom, and against big brother’s drones and blanket spying makes it a “tough choice.”

According to the article, Amnesia John had this to say about Hillary Clinton:

Regarding Clinton, McCain praised the job she did as secretary of State.

“I think she did a fine job. She’s a rock star. She has, maybe not glamour, but certainly the aura of someone widely regarded throughout the world,” McCain said.

She did not do a “fine job” in Benghazi.  In fact, all we know from Hillary Clinton on the Benghazi boondoggle is “What difference does it make”?

When you have Republican’s filibustering the CIA nominee over drone use or  reigning in 4th Amendment violations of blanket NSA spying, well that can not stand with these moss covered Neo-Cons.
